Algoz is a small village in the Silves department, on the northern side of the Algarve region, situated in a valley with the lovely presence of the Algoz river.
Was once an important Moorish settlement, as it was quite close to the much important Moorish Silves.
Nowadays Algoz is a rural small village that has been apart from the urban and touristic development of the Algarve in the past decades, far from the coastline.
Algoz is proud of its mother Church, the São Sebastião Chapel, the 1704 Communitarian Barn, the Nossa Senhora do Pilar Chapel, nowadays abandoned and the Rural Museum along with the Botanical Garden of the Avós Estate, with interesting ethnographic collections as well as cultural activities.
A very efficient service - nice clean car to pick us up and the driver was very grateful when we tipped him. I would certainly use this service again if I were to return here.

The service was excellent. The driver was waiting for me at the airport and he was very courteous.
